Congrats to Dr. Matthew Harer on receiving the Ellen R. Wald from the University of Wisconsin Department of Pediatrics. This award is given to an assistant or associate professor of pediatrics in recognition of outstanding research accomplishments and demonstrated potential for future contributions in clinical, health services, or quality improvement research.

Matthew Harer awarded Meriter Foundation grant

Dr. Matthew Harer, Associate professor, Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine on his Meriter Foundation grant for a project titled “Use of Renal NIRS Monitoring to Identify Neonatal Coarctation of the Aorta.” The aim of the project is to improve the detection of clinically significant coarctation of the aorta in newborns by near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) technology.
